Emilie Reuchlin is the co-founder and managing director of the Doggerland Foundation. She is a marine biologist and political scientist with 15 years of experience in marine conservation in the international North Sea. She has worked on the implementation of a network of Marine Protected Areas, marine spatial planning, sustainable fisheries, and active restoration of nature. In her spare time, she enjoys being on or underneath the North Sea waves as a diver, surfer, and KNRM (Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution) volunteer.
