Jessica Ullevålseter is a visual artist, activist and musician. Her family lineage is of ancestral bonds to the Oslo area that date back more than 400 years.
She questions emotional and spiritual family bonds to the place, when and how the indigenous bond was broken, and how to revive that ancient dialogue between nature and human.
Activists, academics, priests, shamans, lawyers and other spiritual guides have been her greater influence, support, and inspiration. They have taught Jessica of her own Western cultural and spiritual disinheritance, deprived of a fundamental relationship to the place. The natural relationship was made tabu. The elders encourage her to return as “born of the land” to reconnect to AllGoodEarth.
