Pedro Luengo Michel is a biologist from the University of Murcia. His professional career began with environmental consultancy and in charge of a cheese laboratory. For more than 15 years he has been the coordinator of the Murcian federation of Ecologists in Action, which makes him a tireless activist and expert in environmental problems and administrative inaction. He has played, and continues to play, a key role in the creation and strengthening of links between the various environmental protection organisations, including those fighting for the salted lagoon of the Mar Menor.
