Sabina Candusso

Sabina Candusso, 28, is currently living in the Ecuadorian Amazon, where her profession as a cultural and visual anthropologist merges with intense activity in communications and environmental justice. Here she works in support of Indigenous communities’ advocacy against aggressive extractive industries in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Her commitment to water justice is deeply rooted in her childhood, spent in proximity to the Tagliamento, a unique Alpine river known for its free flow. This connection has evolved into a long-term visual project aimed at exploring the symbiotic relationship between the Tagliamento and its community. Sabina is a member of Noi Siamo Tagliamento and curator of Tagliamento.org social media. Sabina seeks to harness the power of visual storytelling, deep anthropological insights, and rigorous scientific dissemination to catalyze environmental conservation and promote change.
