Zoe Lujic is a rights of Nature advocate, holder of MSc in Environmental Studies and founder of Earth Thrive, international organisation working on ensuring respect & establishment or Rights of Nature in the Balkans & Mediterranean bioregions with experience also in the international law of Ecocide and permaculture.
Currently developing Balkan Centre for the Rights of Nature and the Declaration on the Rights of the Mediterranean Sea Bioregion as the lead programs for respective regions.
She is one of the founders and facilitators of the European Hub of the Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature, promoting the rights of all living beings to inherent and inalienable right to life on the European continent. She organised the successful 2021 Rights of the Aquatic Ecosystems of Europe Tribunal and presented the case of the Ecocide of the Small Dams over the Balkan/Serbian rivers.
She is currently working on transposing the Rights of the Rivers law proposal document authored by the Earth Law Centre and International Rivers into the Serbian legal system with a view to working on granting the rights in law to rivers in Serbia.
