Greet Brauwers & Raf Custers

Greet Brauwers is a researcher, filmmaker, and artist based in Brussels. After her studies, she worked in the media, combining her journalistic work with a socio-artistic practice, exploring the possibilities of engaged visual and narrative practices, setting up audiovisual projects, and documentary filmmaking. Since 2016, she has connected with artistic practice. With Raf Custers, they create a participatory performance, collective performances, a podcast, a collective workshop, and an installation using clay from the deep sea.

Raf Custers is a researcher and journalist involved in collective and street vocal projects. He is the co-creator of Indymedia-Belgium (2000). His documentaries include Cri d’alarme du Kivu (2001, Signis Prize) and Le lithium de la Bolivie (2011, with Greet Brauwers, FRDO Prize). His publications include Chasseurs de matières premières (2016), De uitverkoop van Zuid-Amerika (2016). He also works in production, dramaturgy, and graphic design.
